Fine arts and emotions are connected. So it is not surprising that fine art plays an important role in our project. Some of the activities were part of the mobilities, others were carried out between the meetings and they were either shared (e.g. the play cards project) or independently (e.g. the Heart project or the project Feelings in Fine Art class).

Bildende Kunst und Emotionen hängen zusammen. Daher ist es nicht verwunderlich, dass bildende Kunst in unserem Projekt eine wichtige Rolle spielt. Einige der Aktivitäten waren Teil der Mobilitäten, andere wurden zwischen den Treffen durchgeführt und entweder gemeinsam (z. B. das Spielkartenprojekt) oder unabhängig voneinander (z. B. das Herzprojekt oder das Projekt Gefühle im Kunstunterricht) durchgeführt.

Výtvarné umění a emoce spolu souvisí. Není tedy divu, že výtvarné umění hraje v našem projektu důležitou roli. Některé aktivity byly součástí mobilit, jiné byly realizovány mezi setkáními a byly buď sdílené (např. projekt hracích karet), nebo samostatně (např. projekt Srdce nebo projekt Pocity ve výtvarném umění).
FEEL GOOD WALL INSTALLATION
In each of the schools, the students decorated cards in a "feel-good" way and then brought them to the first project meet in Midleton (IRL), where they collaboratuvely arranged them to create a "Feel Good Wall Installation".
Students and teachers from all schools were sent a playing card painted blank. The instruction was simple decorate it any way you want with something you love. The results were very creative with some creating 3D images and others sewn and painted or written on. Three packs of playing cards were gessoed white and distributed among staff and students at all three schools. The brief given was to design the card by any means with something you love. Individuality makes the finished product so interesting and colourful. Many students chose not to draw or paint but instead wrote a inspiring quote on their cards. We choose to put these together into one frame. the frames are now a permenant installation on the stairs in Midleton CBS.

DECORATING STONES for a Good Deed Day in Prague

HEART PROJECT at C.B.S. Midleton (IRL)
We invited an Italian artist into the classroom as an invited expert to share his knowledge on painting for this 'Heart' project. The collaboration joined the Science/ Biology classes with an art teacher. Ms Quirke and Ms Barrett firstly both did CPR training and received busts and a first aid kit to enable a whole class to train in first aid and resusitation. The artist cut out a variety of heart shapes from wood in the workshop in different sizes. These were modeled on real life hearts as opposed to a heart shape. Students were able to decorate and design the heart in paint whatever way they liked. Most painted them with images to convey what made them feel good or what they like. The idea behind the project is to focus on the positivity in their lives and how to keep a healthy heart and a healthy mind. The result was installed in the school corridor for all to see. It forms a heart shape when all together.
EXPRESSING FEELINGS at Gymnázium V. Mýto (CZE)
The students of tercie had a fine art class where they expressed various feelings by painting. It was interesting to talk about the paintings and emotions after that. Thanks for sharing.
